Boardgame Development

In this section, we invite you to take a journey through our Board Game Development process, a craft I've honed over the years. The values and timeframes reflected here are based on my firsthand experience in bringing board games from concept to reality.

Total duration: 12 to 28 months, depending on complexity of the Game from idea to delivery and integration in our online shop.

Step 1: Initial Concept and Logic (2-4 months) During this phase, we focus on defining the game logic and general gameplay functions. We also create the first concept art to bring our vision to life.

Step 2: Core Gameplay and Materials (2-4 months) In this step, we finalize the core gameplay and game loops. We also decide on the required materials that will make up the game components.

Step 3: Components and Prototyping (1-2 months) This stage involves creating the game components, such as effects, names, card values, etc. We build the first prototypes and initiate game testing to refine our design.

Step 4: Art and Test Versions (1-3 months) Here, we finalize the game art and create test-ready versions of the game. Additional game testing is conducted to polish the gameplay experience.

Step 5: Marketing and Pre-Production (2-4 months) In this phase, we kickstart the marketing efforts for the game. Pre-production also begins, alongside ongoing game testing to iron out any remaining issues.

Step 6: Kickstarter Campaign (2 months) We launch a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for mass production and to build excitement and anticipation among our community.

Step 7: Kickstarter Fulfillment (1-6 months) This stage involves the delivery of Kickstarter pledges, ensuring that each backer receives their copy of the game as promised.

Step 8: Online Shop Integration (1-3 months) Finally, the game is integrated into our online shop, making it available for wider public purchase.

By meticulously following these steps, we uphold our commitment to producing high-quality, entertaining, and immersive board games that align with the ethos of Arc Nova Studios.
